Unfortunately they didn't have the water resistant version there, and the rep had not even heard of the water resistant version listed on the website, seriously.
From the SPIbelt webiste
Sleek, expandable, secure and does not bounce. Can hold an iPod™, Blackberry™, cell, keys, up to five GU™ packs, and other small personal items. The SPIbelt does not bounce, ride or shift while running or doing other activities.
I don't think they tested them on someone with my hips, because it started on hips and wound up on waist. Other than that and that my stuff ended up damp from sweat becase, well it was July in Atlanta, I really like it. Love the size and it holds a lot. Not crazy about my hips though...

I have issues with things that are supposed to stay still when on your hips...yeah that never happens on my hips!! Race hydration belts-constantly adjusting them! So I have come to the conclusion-nothing works for me around my waist or hips!
I LOVE my SpiBelt, but you're right about the hip thing. I got one in the men's size so that it would ride down and that's worked pretty well.
But a water resistant one? Gosh, I hope they have them in San Diego for AFC. I have the same idea in mind, but last year everything in my SPIbelt got SOAKED due to the cups of water I poured over my head at each water station...oh and the sweat too.
