Amendment to the Race Recap

Did I mention that the 2:58 time included 2 bathroom breaks where I continued to demonstrate my skill for picking the slowest line possible, as well as a stop at all but one water table, the orange slice stop, the Luna bar stop, and the chocolate stop.

Isn't it funny how after the dust settles, your mind works over time rehashing the details. The ego is a cruel friend.

I would have stopped at the chocolate stop as well!!

Don't beat yourself up! Of course I do that to myself as well-so I guess this is the pot calling the kettle black-but try not to beat yourself up. As I have been told, not everyday is your day! You didn't give up and I hope you had FUN! I have come to the realization, I will not be winning! I am there to have FUN! and because I really LOVE to run!

Did you stop at the foot massage stop?

There are sooooo many distractions in that race, it's hard to be anywhere near a PR...there are the views, the chocolate, the people, the food, the many, many, many aid stops...

Oh and the view and the people.

Don't be too hard on yourself. One of my regrets is that I roared through the chocolate mile because I had a PR in my sights. Was it worth it? I don't know. Chocolate is always a good thing.
